Premieres *MAJOR SPOILERS*

I watched "Gossip Girl" and "One Tree Hill" on Monday and "90210" on Tuesday.
Gossip Girl:
I thought the premiere was awesome. I was glad to see my favorite guy, Ed Westwick. I'm ecstatic that Dan and Serena get back together. Pretty disappointed that Chuck couldn't admit his love for Blair (but that really doesn't matter because I love watching their relationship), but Ed Westwick was very convincing when it came to the scene where he tries to stop Blair from leaving. I'm pretty happy about everything except for Nate doing the nasty-nasty with a cougar. The episode seemed to end really quickly, and that's a good thing because that means the episode kept me totally unaware of the time.

One Tree Hill:
While watching the premiere, my jaw was open the whole time. It wasn't because the episode was bad, it was because it was...violent. The nanny returns and she becomes crazy. She takes her revenge out on Dan by torturing him endlessly. I was so surprised when I found out that the "hospital room" was actually in the nanny's HOUSE.
I'm very happy that Lucas chose Peyton to marry. I really didn't think Lindsey was good for him.
Brooke's mom is back and she is crazy as well. I couldn't believe how the episode ended. It was horrific. I saw the preview for the next episode and I can't believe how much Brooke was hurt. I'm kind of scared to watch the next episode. I don't think my mom will let me even watch it, due to the violence.

90210:
"The show that defined a generation..."
"The most anticipated show on television..."
I was watching 90210 with my mom and I agree with every point she made.
The show was a complete disaster. The show seemed really dim (as in the lighting). Some characters look WAY old. Naomi looked like a grandma compared to a teenager. I can't believe she wore polka dots with pearls. Seriously, WHO DOES THAT?!
The main character's body is disproportional. She had huge hair and a puny body.
The guys are kind of...boring. Plus, they aren't that good-looking.
Gossip Girl is so much better than this show. In GG, the girls look like they eat regularly. They have awesome fashion sense and they look their age. Compared to the boys in 90210, the guys in GG each have a unique style, rather than 90210's T-shirt and hoodie uniform that each guy seems to wear.
90210 was a complete disappointment. It totally didn't live up to expectations and the original is way better. And some scenes were downright disgustingly inappropriate.

Rants and Ramblings

One thing that really gets to me is younger girls in middle school that only shop at Abercrombie & Fitch, American Eagle, and Hollister Co. I really hate how they assume they know fashion, when all they wear are tight shirts that have a company name strewn across their boobs. It's so irritating to see that.
I admit, I was one of those girls that thought that those clothes were "cool" and "fashionable". Thank goodness my mom instilled the VALUE OF MONEY into my mind, because those shirts are expensive. I'd also like to thank Teen Vogue for educating me in fashion and trends. Seriously, what was I thinking when I went into an Abercrombie & Fitch store?!
I'm glad I know what kind of clothes I like now, but I always end up shaking my head in disappointment when I see those kind of naive girls walking past me.

Another pet peeve:
I am actually very excited for the premiere of "Gossip Girl", as is a lot of other girls around the country. However, I become annoyed when people call the show "Gossip Girls", not the correct title, "Gossip Girl". I mean, it's okay if you get the show's name wrong, but what is NOT okay is if you actually walk around talking about the show like you know everything about it, when in actuality, you don't even know the correct name for it.

*thank goodness I got this out of my system. I felt like I was about to burst.

Why NOW?

Oh goodness. I can't believe how summer is ending and how my school is so cruel!
I've got a week to write a composition and college essay on "The Joy Luck Club" by Amy Tan. I just keep thinking how pathetic I am to be sitting, typing up my blog, rather than actually working on my work.

I'm actually pretty excited about the school year. I'm going to be a Junior this year and it's going to be REALLY hectic. I've got SATs and PSATs, volunteer work, Newspaper staff, APs, and tennis team this year, so I know this year will go by pretty fast. Next thing you know, I'm going to college!
What I'm really excited about this year is my Honors English Journalism class and my Journalism Workshop class. I had to drop my lunch period to make room for Journalism Workshop. Therefore, I don't have any lunch period; I just have classes all day.
It's going to be chaotic!

JONAS JONAS

Oh! here are a few pictures of the Jonas Bros concert and the friends who went with me!

Ridiculous posters.

Nick Jonas :)

Me and one of my best friends, enjoying the concert!

Summer ending?

I have never pictured my summer to be THIS unproductive. Yes, I have been studying for the SATs and I've been volunteering at the local hospital's pharmacy, but believe it or not, I've spent most of my summer in some kind of air-conditioned building.

If it weren't for that Jonas Brothers concert and the beach AND the much anticipated Columbia University tour with my friends, I would have thought that this summer was just plain wasteful.

first post

Maybe it was the monthly horoscope in Teen Vogue that gave this specific suggestion. Maybe this was all impulsive. But for some reason...I created a blog!
I do have a xanga, and i love it dearly, but I think it's time for a NEW blog. These days, I've been browsing a lot of scrappers' blogs and I'm just in awe!
I've been inspired :)
